Overview

The Bible contains over 400 references to singing and 50 direct commands to sing.
Singing is not an option for the people of God. Singing is a ministry that belongs to all believers, and is one of the essential ministries of the church. The music ministry’s focus is congregational singing and edification of God's people. Congregational singing helps the church express and experience unity in the body of Christ. The focus of our singing should direct our thoughts toward God rather than ourselves. Our singing takes part in deepening our knowledge of biblical truths about God and His word, and assists in equipping the saints for ministry.

Volunteer Positions

Music is a gift of God and part of the created order (Rev. 5:13), but music is always the servant to the Word. Of all the musical instruments that may be employed in the praise of God, the human voice has priority. Music instruments are to be subservient to singing. There are many positions available to serve in Harvest Church music ministry. vocals, string instruments, piano/keys, wind instruments, drums/percussion.
